At Montréal AestheticS Academy (MASA), Level 1 is your gateway into the world of injectable medicine. This foundational course is fully theoretical and designed specifically for dentists who want to begin their journey into facial aesthetics and therapeutic applications of Botulinum Toxin Type A (BoNT/A), in alignment with ODQ guidelines.

🧠 Note: Completion of this course does not authorize the dentist to perform aesthetic or therapeutic injections yet. It is, however, a mandatory prerequisite to MASA’s advanced clinical levels.

Level 2 – Clinical Training in Botulinum Toxins (BoNT/A) for Aesthetic Upper Face and Bruxism Therapy

Hybrid Course: 8 Hours Theory + 8 Hours Hands-On (6 Patients)

At Montréal AestheticS Academy (MASA), Level 2 introduces the first hands-on training stage. This course qualifies dentists to begin using Botulinum Toxin Type A (BoNT/A) for aesthetic treatments of the upper face and therapeutic treatment of bruxism.
It blends structured medical theory with supervised clinical application.

🧪 This course meets ODQ criteria for safe, evidence-based injectable training and includes all required elements for dentist participation in clinical injection of BoNT/A.

🔬 Section 1: Patient Assessment & Diagnostics

  • Medical history review relevant to facial botulinum toxins and dermal fillers

  • Comprehensive aesthetic and therapeutic evaluation of the patient

  • Calibrated photography of the upper face (before/after documentation)

  • Understanding the causes and classifications of bruxism

  • Accurate diagnosis of both esthetic facial needs and muscular dysfunction (bruxism)

  • In-depth pharmacological study of BoNT/A

  • Mastering sterile technique in injectable protocols

    • Vascular occlusion/thrombosis

This level is for licensed dentists who have completed MASA Level 1 and are ready to move into clinical application of aesthetic injectables and therapeutic use of BoNT/A, under the standards outlined by the Ordre des dentistes du Québec (ODQ).

Level 3 – Advanced Botulinum Toxin Applications: Lower & Mid-Face, Neck, and Myofascial Pain Management

Hybrid Course: 8 Hours Theory + 8 Hours Clinical Training (6 Patients)

This advanced course at Montréal AestheticS Academy (MASA) is designed for licensed dentists seeking to expand their clinical expertise in both aesthetic and therapeutic applications of Botulinum Toxin Type A (BoNT/A). Participants will be trained to safely and effectively treat the mid- and lower face, neck, and myofascial dysfunctions, including pain management and hyperactivity of facial muscles.

🧠 This is MASA’s most advanced neuromodulator course before entering dermal filler training. It satisfies the ODQ’s third-level learning requirements for dental professionals.

🧬 Section 1: Advanced Anatomy & Pharmacology

  • Comprehensive review of skeletal and muscular anatomy of the mid- and lower face, oral cavity, neck, skull base, and surrounding regions

  • Advanced BoNT/A pharmacology including updated formulations and injection strategies

  • Introduction to dermal fillers (note: Level 4 certification is required for filler injections)

  • Synergistic planning: how neuromodulators and fillers complement each other in full-face rejuvenation

Level 4 – Dermal Filler Mastery: Lips, Nasolabial Folds & Edentulous Ridges

Hybrid Course: 8 Hours Theory + 8 Hours Clinical Training (6 Patients)

This Level 4 course at Montréal AestheticS Academy (MASA) empowers licensed dentists to perform safe and effective dermal filler injections in key facial regions including the lips, vermillion border, nasolabial folds, and edentulous alveolar ridges. Combining aesthetics with therapeutic relevance, this course provides the scientific, technical, and ethical foundation to integrate injectables into the modern dental practice.

💡 This is MASA’s first official dermal filler certification course, following neuromodulator (BoNT/A) training. It meets ODQ's Level 4 competency requirements for dentists.

🧬 Section 1: Anatomy, Aging & Pharmacology

  • In-depth review of facial aging processes across soft tissue, skin, and bone

  • Functional and aesthetic anatomy of the lower face: lips, perioral structures, smile dynamics
